Swift’s donation, which appears as two separate contributions of $50,000 each, has helped the family surpass their initial fundraising goal of $75,000.
The local radio station KKFI 90.1 FM confirmed that Lopez-Galvan was the DJ and host of a Latin music program, “Taste of Tejano,” and expressed their sincere sadness and condolences for her family and the community.
Lopez-Galvan’s brother, Beto Lopez, shared that his family awoke to the news of the tragedy with shock and disbelief.
He described his sister as someone who “loved her family” and was “very bubbly” with a “life-of-the-party kind of personality.”
She leaves behind her husband and two young children.
Swift, who was a recurring guest at Chiefs games this season and attended the Super Bowl to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, tight end for the Chiefs, has been a vocal supporter of the team and the Kansas City community.
