Josephine’s Reason for Leaving the Bahatis
Josephine, who worked for The Bahatis since September 2020, recently opened up about her decision to leave shortly after being announced as Diana Marua’s personal assistant. Her departure, she explained, was planned well in advance and not abrupt as many had speculated.
“Time for me to leave came. Earlier this year, I used to say I have worked for so long as a house manager, and I gave myself up to December,” Josephine revealed.
Balancing Career and Family Life
One of Josephine’s main reasons for leaving the Bahati household was to focus on her daughter. Having left her child when she was only a toddler, she felt it was time to be fully present in her life, especially now that her daughter is approaching her teenage years.
“She is about to become a teen, so she needs that motherly love and guidance,” Josephine said.
A Return to Her Teaching Profession
Josephine also shared that her long-term goal is to return to her teaching career, which she had paused to work with the Bahatis.
“Another reason is that I want to resume my profession. If I go back to school, this will mean that her [Diana’s] work is stagnant, which is not good. I saw it better for me to notify about my departure so that she could get a permanent employee. I don’t want to inconvenience them,” she explained.
Good Relationship with the Bahatis
Despite rumors of bad blood, Josephine clarified that she remains on excellent terms with the Bahati family, describing them as her best employers ever.
“We are in very good terms. They are good people and have been the best employers I’ve ever had,” Josephine stated.
She also noted that Diana’s recent announcement of her PA role was merely a formalization of responsibilities she had already been performing for some time.
“On the PA job, she talked about it officially, but I had been acting as the PA for some time,” Josephine concluded.
