Jay-Z and Diddy Face Lawsuit Alleging Assault of a 13-Year-Old in 2000

Rapper Jay-Z, whose real name is Sean Carter, has been accused in a lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 alongside music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The anonymous accuser, identified as “Jane Doe,” alleges the incident took place after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

Allegations in the Lawsuit

The lawsuit, initially filed in October in the Southern District of New York, named Combs as a defendant. On Sunday, the accuser refiled the case to include Jay-Z.

The accuser claims that a limousine driver working for Combs invited her to an after-party, stating she “fit what Diddy was looking for.”

The lawsuit alleges that the driver transported her to a house party where she was asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement.

The party, filled with celebrities, reportedly included drug use. The accuser was offered a drink that made her feel lightheaded, after which she went into a room to rest.

According to the lawsuit, Jay-Z and Combs entered the room, and Combs allegedly said, “You are ready to party!” The suit claims that Carter raped her while Combs and an unnamed female celebrity watched.

It further alleges that Combs also raped her while Carter and the woman looked on.

The accuser claims she resisted being forced to perform oral sex on Combs by hitting him in the neck, which caused him to stop.

After the alleged assault, she fled the scene and called her father from a gas station.

Jay-Z Denies the Allegations

Jay-Z responded to the accusations in a statement, calling them “idiotic” and accusing the accuser’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, of engaging in unprofessional conduct.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” Carter stated.

He added, “You have made a terrible error in judgment thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world. We don’t play these types of games. We protect children.”

Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the accuser, declined to comment. However, the lawsuit indicates that a letter was sent to Carter’s counsel requesting mediation before the case was refiled.

The lawsuit also states that Combs and Carter failed to deliver justice for the alleged incident.

The accuser seeks unspecified damages under New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.

Previous Allegations Against Combs

This lawsuit adds to a growing list of cases filed by Buzbee against Combs, alleging assault and rape.

However, this is the first lawsuit to name another high-profile figure alongside him.

What’s Next?

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York declined to comment on whether they are pursuing criminal charges.

The accuser remains anonymous, and her claims will now be examined in court as the case progresses.
