On Friday, December 6, comedian Mammito shared a heartwarming moment with TV personality Betty Kyallo on TV47, as the two bonded over discussions about motherhood.

Mammito, who is heavily pregnant, left Betty in stitches as she humorously described her mood swings and other pregnancy symptoms, which Betty admitted she could relate to.

Upcoming Comedy Show: Maandamano Baby

Mammito announced her highly anticipated comedy show, titled Maandamano Baby, set to take place on December 20.

Speaking about the show, she expressed excitement about sharing her journey with her fans.

“I am very excited to be able to share this journey with my fans. I started doing stand-up when I was 18, so they have seen me grow, and I’ve been talking about heartbreaks and Nairobi men. Now finally, I have a different topic I can talk about, so I was really excited to be able to share this. This is a big thing that happened to me this year, and also like Maandamano was a big thing, so I thought combining those two, will be really nice and exciting,” she shared.

Mammito emphasized how significant this new chapter in her life is, adding that she looks forward to performing for her audience in just a few days.

Baby Daddy’s Identity: A Well-Guarded Secret

Addressing the curiosity surrounding the identity of her baby’s father, Mammito kept details vague, leaving viewers intrigued.

“I have not bought this. He is a man who… somebody’s son, who yeah…” she said shyly.

Betty, amused and curious, prodded Mammito for more details. “Who is this guy? And you have really kept him a secret! You have kept him private kama ile kitu.”

Mammito agreed with a laugh, saying, “You have to, in this Nairobi, you have to keep your relationship a secret, you never know.” She elaborated further: “You show him off then they say, ‘Oh, he doesn’t look good,’ or they say, ‘Oh, others will secretly take him.’ I am 31, I can’t start all over again dating, ati asking him your favorite color! At the age of 31, I’m too old, like you should know your…”

Her candid remarks left Betty laughing uncontrollably as Mammito explained why she avoids revealing her partner’s identity, highlighting the infamous Nairobi culture of “stealing” partners.

“You know, I know. Hawa watu ni chombo dhaifu. They can go anytime.”

When asked if her baby daddy is fellow comedian Butita, Mammito firmly dismissed the notion. “Hiyo ni maneno ya kale,” she said, rolling her eyes. “Tusiongelele maneno ya kale. That’s a long time ago, it’s like what? Four years. So that’s a while back.”

Dating Outside the Industry

Mammito provided more hints about her partner, stating that he is not part of the entertainment industry, which was a deliberate choice on her part.

“This one, no, he is not in the industry, and I think that is what I wanted. I wanted somebody who is not in the industry, like somebody who does something completely different, because I’ve dated in the industry, but I prefer not dating in the industry,” she explained.

Reflecting on past relationships, Mammito said, “Nilichomeka, but also I just want something different.”

She shared her joy about the relationship, saying, “I am as long as you are making that money for us, baby. That’s all I need.”

Thoughts on Marriage

Mammito described her relationship as happy but revealed she is taking her time before considering marriage.

“We are happy,” she said, but added, “Heh Betty, maneno ni pole pole, let me first give birth to this one, and then we see. Because marriage in Nairobi, weuh, but who knows?”

Her openness about her pregnancy journey, relationship, and career plans offered fans a rare glimpse into her personal life, and many are eagerly awaiting her upcoming show.
